These terms are the rules for using HighBeam: the launcher, the server software, the server list and this website. By using HighBeam you agree to them.

HighBeam is free

HighBeam costs nothing. You need your own copy of BeamNG.drive and a Steam account.

The software licence

HighBeam is free to use, but it isn't open source. The launcher, the server software and the mod belong to us, and you use them under the HighBeam licence. In short:

• You can install HighBeam, play with it and run HighBeam servers, also as a paid hosting service.
• You can't copy, change, fork, sell or share HighBeam's software, or reverse engineer it.
• Your own server scripts and settings stay yours.

Not BeamNG or Steam

HighBeam isn't made by, or affiliated with, BeamNG GmbH or Valve. BeamNG.drive is a trademark of BeamNG GmbH. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation.

Your account

Your HighBeam account is your Steam account. You're responsible for what happens on it.

Play fair

Don't:

• Cheat, or use hacks or tools that give you an unfair edge
• Grief, harass, threaten or spam other players
• Post hate speech, or illegal or sexual content, in names, chat or voice
• Pretend to be HighBeam staff or a server's admins
• Attack, overload or try to break into servers, accounts or the server list

Servers are run by their owners

Each server is run by its owner, who sets its rules and can kick or ban you. We don't run other people's servers and aren't responsible for what happens on them.

Running a server

• Your server follows these terms, and so does its name and description.
• You're responsible for your server, the mods you put on it, and the player data it keeps.
• Only share mods you're allowed to share.
• We can take a server off the list, or block an address, when it breaks these terms.

Mods

A server's mods download to your PC when you join it. Mods are made by other people, not by us, and you use them at your own risk.

When we can step in

We can suspend an account or a server that breaks these terms, or that puts HighBeam or its players at risk.

No guarantees

HighBeam is given to you as it is. We work to keep it running, but we can't promise it always works, and we can change it or stop it at any time.

Our liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage from using HighBeam, including lost data or game saves.
